north carolina art museum

so yet again - i sign up for this faculty field trip to see the nc art museum in raleigh. and one of the asian llm's - this kid ben from thailand - he's in my orientation group - so he's like yeah i'm riding with you. which means that all the other asian llms are like we're riding in andrew's car. by the way a honda civic is to these people like just an immense american car. anyway so its me and like this dude from hong kong, a chixor from china *(near taiwan) another chixor from tokyo and ben from thailand. so the dude from hong kong starts talking about naruto and asking ben whether or not he watches it. and its off the three males in the car including me start yelling out techniques "kage bunshin no jutsu! ka ton ryo ... etc something no justu" while the girls are like who are we in a car with. yeah anyway later i end up driving the girls home and they're like what is your email and now i have these great emails in broken english - one mostly in chinese - i can't even really begin to explain the social bizareness of the situation because i think these women are like in their late twenties or early thirties. and man like they are totally out of their element. so i'm like trying to explain american society to them and i am not the one for this sort of job. anyway they should just ask me about anime and i had to like hold my ground that miyazaki in no way directed grave of the fireflies. also law school parties are like pretty fucking awesome. you through a party and like 50 people show up but you kknow almost all of them cause that's like half my class. raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrr so much drinking aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa i think i'll forward those emails i was sent but like it's hard to explain really the bizareness of these situations?: what do they expect from me to be there friends? to be polite i know not these things
