well what a night last night. duke law dems and american constitution society hsoted a party for the election - we got about 70-80 people to turn out. unfortunately nifong got re-elected cause two opposition candidates split the vote. but anyway - i was worried that if the democrats did not win last night, karl rove's dream of a one-party state might have come true. but no fuck him and fuck bush and rumsfield is out and the republicans are all sharpening their knives! let their blood letting begin! for the first time in a long time they are all sniping at each other and determining whom to blame - and things now look pretty great for '08 - especially considering how many states now have democratic governors and state houses. and now that the supreme court allows mid-decade redistricting why not undo the delay-madness from a few years ago? man it feels fucking great to win. maybe we can govern
