as for ace's hobbies...

My post is going to be a little different then the bowling report. So I've started up my new job. I like it so far, and I think it's going to be a really great springboard to whatever I want to do with my psych degree. Also I'm moving out of my one bedroom shack for somewhere with interent access and an indoor bathroom...so it's safe to say I'm moving up in the world.

But the real reason I post is becuase I have some how obtained the phone numbers of two really tall and attractive women. Furthermore I'm pretty sure both are willing to date me, but in the end I know I can only keep one. So here's the set up...
1: blond, skinny, kind of dorky, and has a degree in chemical engineering. Those last traits make her ideally suited for the long term relationship.
2: brunette, sarcastic, soroity girl. I'm not sure our personalities are all that good a match, but she's really cool and has one of the most fantastic chest I've ever seen. It's like she's got two brunswick furies stuck down the front of her shirt.

I'm gonna have to cut one of them loose in the coming weeks and I can't decide which....and now back to bowling.

first impressions of the fury

so my new bowling ball is officially sweet.

first time i rolled it --- it was completely akward. I am used to curving lane balls, which i do keeping my thumb out to give my hand more support and stability which allows me to roll it faster with more revs. but that really isn't an option with an actual ball, so i've had to learn how to roll it properly.

the second time i rolled, my hand was still getting used to the weight, and the curve which is very extreme. i basically rolled in the sixties. i would start off on the left side of the lane and throw it all the way over to the right and it would still hook back to the other gutter. sometimes i would pick up the the 2,7, and 8.

third time i did a little better but still couldn't get it regularly into the pocket and i was leaving all my spares on the right side of the lane which i definitely couldn't hit - averaging in the 80s or 90s

today i bowled six games and was able to get a bunch in the pocket in the first three games - back in the 110s and low 120s which is still below average for me with a lane ball. then i bowled a magical fourth game. started and finished with turkeys. has about two open frames total in the middle. I finished with a 213! my new record. It was honestly a pretty lucky results b/c i picked up like two or three brooklyn strikes. next game i bowled a 136 after some rather harsh splits. the last game i bowled a 171 - which was probably exactly what i deserved.

bowling ball

so i don't know how much i have talked about this already. i'm pretty sure i called E when i was drunk. But my bowling team won the duke law league championship this spring - it was pretty much the happiest night of my life! I thought we were done - but we won the deciding game by three pins after a clutch spare in the tenth frame. Anyway - as some of you might know - i've been learning how to spin the ball - and I've gotten my average up to around a 140. i figured the time has come ...

meet the new love of my life (hopefully) it's being delivered today. I can't wait to get it drilled and try it out! HAYWARD I AM COMING FOR YOU! once i get used to it i will officially challenge you.

The Brunswick FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!

S words

as many of you have no doubt realized, I have an interest in swords and mideavil weaponry. However I think all the time I've put into it was paid back in full todya when I cam across this demonstration on youtube. Please take a moment to appriciate the narrators style as well as his over all physical fitness...then take another moment to appriciate that he has a WHOLE FUCKING SERIES of these demonstrations (I think this one would be my second favorite)

sad news

kurt vonegut died last night. distressing to say the least - i wonder if i have any of his short stories kicking around that i can read in his honor tonight.

Kurt is up in heaven now

I am, incidentally, Honorary President of the American Humanist Association, having succeeded the late, great science fiction writer Isaac Asimov in that totally functionless capacity. We had a memorial service for Isaac a few years back, and I spoke and said at one point, "Isaac is up in heaven now." It was the funniest thing I could have said to an audience of humanists. I rolled them in the aisles. It was several minutes before order could be restored. And if I should ever die, God forbid, I hope you will say, "Kurt is up in heaven now."

Mr. Congrass-Man

In all my cycles I have never written a letter to a Congress-Man, so please understand that the situation is grave. Upon reading my letter, I trust that you will understand and take immediate action, as it is your sworn duty as a Congress-Man to cater to the concerns of your constituent-men.

Mr. Congrass-Man, what are we doing with meatballs?

The answer is not enough. May I propose to you this radical notion: meatballs in everything.

All Women: Lesbians?

The New York Times says...?

"Such experiments do not show the same clear divide with women. Whether women describe themselves as straight or lesbian, “Their sexual arousal seems to be relatively indiscriminate — they get aroused by both male and female images,” Dr. Bailey said. “I’m not even sure females have a sexual orientation. But they have sexual preferences. Women are very picky, and most choose to have sex with men.”

Dr. Bailey believes that the systems for sexual orientation and arousal make men go out and find people to have sex with, whereas women are more focused on accepting or rejecting those who seek sex with them."

Or if I'm alone...

From a New York Times Article on Sexual Desire:

'Ask an assortment of men and women, “What is sexual desire, and how do you know you’re feeling it?” and after some initial embarrassed mutterings and demands for anonymity, they answer as follows:

“There’s a little bit of adrenaline, a puffing of the chest, a bit of anticipatory tongue motion,” said a divorced lawyer in his late 40s.

“I feel relaxed, warm and comfortable,” said a designer in her 30s.

“A yearning to kiss or grab someone who might respond,” said a male filmmaker, 50. “Or if I’m alone, to call up exes.”'
